PHRD grant for Reducing Technical Barriers for Entrepreneurship and Trade (RTBET)
Grant No. TF 090641

The Kyrgyz Republic has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Reducing Technical Barriers for Entrepreneurship and Trade Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include carrying out an audit of testing laboratories in support of the Kyrgyz agribusiness system with the goal of identifying testing laboratories to be equipped and brought to ISO17025 compliance and international accreditation. International consultant will be responsible for reviewing the technical specifications of the testing equipment for the microbiology, chemistry and radiology laboratory of the Ministry of Health. In addition the International Consultant will define, prepare and deliver training sessions to key stakeholders in the implementation and enforcement of the new food law. Specifically, the training sessions will focus on the most relevant issues for microbiology, including pathogenic bacteria in general and mycotoxins.

The Project Implementation Unit for RTBET now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (CV).

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers May, 2004.
